Professional experience:

Monika Kowalczyk, patent attorney, has twenty years of professional experience in providing services related to intellectual property protection and, in particular, protection of trade marks and industrial designs as well as combating unfair competition. Monika Kowalczyk also conducts cases related to combating manufacturing and trade in counterfeited goods, including customs duty protection of intellectual property rights. She worked both for Polish and international corporations representing FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors as well as law and patent attorney firms. She also finished a training at the Fourth Board of Appeal of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante, Spain.

Education:

Patent attorney and professional representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante, Spain. Graduate of the Law Faculty at the Catholic University of Lublin. She also finished cum laude 2-year Center for American Law organised at the Catholic University of Lublin in co-operation with Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology. Further, she finished postgraduate studies related to intellectual property protection both at the University of Warsaw and the Jagellonian University. Also, she finished postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics entitled “Manager Academy: Modern Business  Management Practices” and, also at the Warsaw School of Economics, postgraduate studies: “Capital company appraisal methods”.
